Electric Car Charging Point

Eastgate Cottages > Refurbishment > Electric Car Charging Point

As part of our renovation of Granary Cottage to form Butterwick, Rosedale, and Danby cottage we are pleased to be able to offer a car charging socket for two electric vehicles (1x 7Kw and 1 x 3.5Kw) plus one additional 13 amp plug in socket. The unit was supplied by Rolec but was not included in any scheme so the unit is strictly for use by our visitors.

If you have an electric vehicle and are staying with us then please let us know so we can provide you with a key to access charging.

You will need to bring a cable which connects to a Type 2 charging station. Its still a little new so we are not sure which cars are compatible with the unit but we haven’t experienced any problems yet!

If you are considering a stay in North Yorkshire and haven’t yet booked with us then we would be pleased to welcome you to our cottages and provide you with access to our charging station.

As from 1st August 2022 we have had to introduce a £5.00 per day charge in order to use the charging station during your stay.

What Our Guests Say

Another excellent New Year break. We stay with Eastgate Cottages every year and sometimes twice a year. Always of a very high standard, we have never been disappointed, only delighted. We treat this as our home in the country and wouldn’t go anywhere else. It doesn’t get any better, just book, you will love it.

What Our Guests Say

Relaxing September Break We were in the Readman cottage. We received a warm welcome and the welcome pack of cheese and cake was delicious. The facilities were excellent and the location was ideal for walking and visiting places of interest. The steam railway is on the doorstep and the bird of prey centre in Helmsley well worth a visit. Helen and John were very helpful in recommending places to visit and where to have my car checked which had developed a problem.

Kitchens and bathrooms are modern and have every amenity.I would recommend very highly, and would gladly stay again in the future.Helen and her staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
